The Employers' association of the Edition gathers and acts for all the profession “

The brings together the editors of music of variety. It has as an main object:

 the defense of the copyright
 the promotion and the valorization of the music
 the representation and the defense of the profession and the national interests and international as of its members.

On the international plan, the is member of the International Confederation of the editors of music , of which all the trade unions of editors form part, to examine, inform and propose at society of authors of the systems allowing to perfect the management and the collective administration of the copyrights. The also represents the interests of the editors of music near the European institutions.

On the national plan, the share of the is exerted in several fields:

1 - The field of the collective management which relates to the relationships of the editors with the .

It is for this reason that:

 We work out and negotiate the conditions of use in fields of exploitation where our preliminary intervention is exerted: KARAOKE, MIDDAY, MULTI-MEDIA, etc…
 We intervene for the improvement of the procedures of deposition of works and the relationships to the services of documentation, distribution and checks.
 We intervene to obtain a greater flexibility for the international exploitation of our catalogs.
 We propose to intervene and inform possibly the management companies collective on simple information of our members for the illicit exploitations of works of their catalog in our country, at their side.

2 - The field except collective management:

It relates to all the forms of exploitation which do not form part of the contributions made at society of authors, i.e. those where our prior approval is necessary before any form of public reproduction or representation (example: videos reproducing of the issuings produced or Co-produced by channels of TV) is those where we are only operators. In all these fields, we want to be vigilant: thus we were in justice at the sides of some of our members or quite simply to defend our illicit profession because of use of works.

3. Representation of the profession near all the actors of the music field and the institutions

For this reason, the is systematically requested by the Ministry for the Crop to take part in the various work and reflections led in the musical field (musical diversity in the media, fights against piracy…).
The is also in constant relationship with the organisms representative of the authors type-setters , of producers , of the managers…
It in addition is represented by one or more of its members in associations and organisms which defend the interests of the authors, type-setters and editors of music carrying on their activity in France (Victories of the Music, Musique France More, Fonds for Musical creation, Association for Creation and Dissemination of the French Music, , etc…)

Commissions which bring together members of our Room and their collaborators have been created for several years. They have the role of receiving, of informing and of proposing to the Board of directors the interesting subjects our profession. Some can be of an emergency nature.
Today, these Commissions are four:

 Administrative Commission
 Commission anthology which publishes the collections of partitions “One century of French songs”.
 Legal commission
 Commission new technologies
